chinese dumpling

Jiaozi(Chinese Dumpling) is a traditional Chinese Food, which is essential during holidays in Northern China. Chinese dumpling becomes one of the most widely loved foods in China.

Chinese dumpling is one of the most important foods in Chinese New Year. Since the shape of Chinese dumplings is similar to ancient Chinese gold or silver ingots, they symbolize wealth. Traditionally, the members of a family get together to make dumplings during the New Year's Eve. They may hide a coin in one of the dumplings. The person who finds the coin will likely have a good fortune in the New Year. Chinese dumpling is also popular in other Chinese holidays or festivals, so it is part of the Chinese culture or tradition.

Chinese dumpling is a delicious food. You can make a variety of Chinese dumplings using different fillings based on your taste and how various ingredients mixed together by you.

Usually when you have Chinese dumpling for dinner, you will not have to cook anything else except for some big occasions. The dumpling itself is good enough for dinner. This is one of the advantages of Chinese dumpling over other foods, though it may take longer to make them.
Making dumplings is really teamwork. Usually all family members will join the work. Some people started to make dumplings when they were kids in the family, so most Chinese know how to make dumplings.

A DREAM

LHASA, it is a dreaming place. different people, different life, mysterious place, has a so beautiful views. I hope I could go there someday. If you have been there, please tell me what do you think about LHASA.

Lhasa

Lhasa, as the capital of Tibet Autonomous Region, covers 29,052 square kilometers. It lies on the north side of the Himalayas Mountains. As a result, there is much less rainfall and more sunshine year round. Winter is not extremely freezing and summer is not extremely hot. It belongs to the plateau monsoon half dry climate and the average annual temperature is 7.4oC. Rainfall is centralized in July, August and September. Annual rainfall is about 500 mm. The city experiences over 3000 hours of sunshine each year, which is why Lhasa is called "Sunshine City". Lhasa, with fresh air, sunny skies, and moderate temperatures has become a popular summer destination for tourists.

Located on the "Roof of World", Qingzang Plateau, Lhasa has average altitude of 3,600 meters. Due to the low air pressure and low air density, the oxygen contained in the air is 25% - 30% less than inland. New residents to the plateau are known to experience altitude sickness, including headaches or shortness of breath. To remedy this, visitors are advised to rest on their first day visiting Lhasa. April to October is the best season to visit.

In Tibetan language, Lhasa means the sacred resident of god. Lhasa has a long history and strong religious atmosphere. Major tourist sites in the city include Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street and Potala Palace. (the picture is the distance shot of Potala Palace)

Chinese Dragons

The Chinese dragon is a symbol of wisdom, power, and luck in Chinese culture. Unlike Western dragons, oriental dragons are usually seen as benevolent and kind. Dragons have long been a symbol in Chinese folklore and art. Temples and shrines have been built to honor them.

Through the symbol of the dragon, many Chinese see divine attributes which they aspire to themselves. In fact, the Chinese are sometimes referred to as "descendents of the dragon." The dragon is held in reverence and respect in Chinese culture. It is unseemly to defile a depiction of a dragon. Dragons are referenced by several Chinese proverbs.

Chinese dragons control the rain, rivers, lakes, and sea. They can ward off wandering evil spirits, protect the innocent, and bestow safety unto all. They are called lung or long in the Chinese language.

They fly in the sky among clouds. Most pictures of Chinese dragons show them playing with a flaming pearl. Legend has it that the pearl gives them their power and allows them to ascend into heaven.
